In 2006, Mr. Snively formed a 501(c)(3) corporation, Scholarship for Namibia Inc., which for years provided scholarships (tuition, dormitory housing, meal plan, books, fees and insurance) to qualifying students from formerly disadvantaged families, enabling them to attend the Namibia University of Science and Technology (“NUST”), then called the “Polytechnic”, attain degrees in land surveying, planning and management and assist the government in its national resettlement effort. This philanthropic work enabled the development of lasting relationships with the administrative and academic staff at NUST.
